Time To Grow is Blossoming

Our Time To Grow garden project is back and we have been working hard to revamp our little space of nature. A big thank you to The West Midlands Combined Authority Community Green Grants in association with Heart of England Community Fund for providing funding for us to continue and expand this project. The funding has also allowed us to employ our new gardener, Paulette – who is ready to get stuck in and bring our project to life! In February Paulette held a workshop and presentation of the garden projects future plans. Service users got the opportunity to voice their opinions and plant their own seed. It was lovely to see so many new faces and as the summer approaches we can’t wait to see our project blossom.

Paulette said: “The Kuumba Centre Garden Project has blossomed into a sanctuary of healing, learning and growth individuals facing mental health challenges have found peace, purpose and connection with nature. The seeds we plant today – both in the soil and in our minds – will bloom into a future where knowledge, community and nature thrive together. The Kuumba Centre’s Garden-Time To Grow is more than just a space; it is a living classroom, a sanctuary, and a testament to what we can grow when we nurture the earth and each other”.
