SACMHF Day Trip to Barmouth
Due to the pleasant weather during August, people who use services (PWUS) requested a day out to the beach. A coach trip to Barmouth was arranged by the team at Kuumba Centre on Friday 26th August 2022. This trip was open to staff, PWUS, as well as friends and family. All tickets managed to sell out within a week and a half! This was a great chance for everyone to socialise, explore the beach and for many at Kuumba Centre – our first trip away since the Covid19 Pandemic. It was a great way to spend some quality time with friends and family.
Barmouth is a seaside town and community in the county of Gwynedd, north-western Wales. Barmouth has a variety of amusement arcades, small fairs, donkey rides, as well as – a range of food locations which were very accessible. PWUS expressed that the weather was amazing, and that the sand and sea was lovely and clean. They really enjoyed their time at Barmouth. They enjoyed it so much that they have requested another trip towards the end of the year.
The Kuumba Centre are looking forward to planning further day trips.
